Chapter 19 Question

1.  How did Mae stop Winnie from being taken?

2. Was what Mae did okay?  Did she go too far?

  1. Mae stopped Winnie from being taken by shooting the man in the yellow suit (from now on I will call him MITY). I think it was okay. If he was to actually go through with his plan, the world would be total chaos and it would be a disaster. MITY is so cruel that I think he deserved it. She had to do it before it was too late, because if he were to drink from the spring no one would be able to stop him. It is very overwhelming at first, but once I got over the fact that MITY was dead I decided that it was the right choice. It reminded me of all of those movies, like where James Bond is caught, but the bad guy spends so much time talking that James Bond escapes. If MITY was James Bond, it is the exact same thing. You have to stop him before it is too late.

  2. To stop Winnie from being taken she took the long forgotten shot gun and hit the man in the yellow suit in the head. I think she didn't go too too far but I kinda think it wasn't the right thing to do because maybe she could've waited until the constable to come and see what the man in the yellow suit was doing. But on the other hand she wouldn't have known that he brought a constable with him, but still if she just waited a little longer and not make dicisions so quickly, the constable could've come and saw what the man in the yellow suit was doing.

  3. And also, Rotem, Mae didn't shoot him, she whacked him really hard with the gun. It cracked his skull but the constable said he wasn't dead yet least ways.

  4. i think it was the right thing to do and i would have probebly done the same thing because if she didn't crack his skull he would have survived and still tell everyone
P.S. for everyone who thinks he got shot in the head read the last page of the chapter slowly

  5. I think Bugsy was right (I asume it's Jeana) that Mae wacked him really hard, she didn't shoot him. I actually do think Mae went to far, but I think she meant to cross the line on purpose.

  7. Bugsy is right. I actually don't think Mae went to far because she was protecting Winnie and what he plans to do is horrible. It was okay for Mae to stop him even if he did get hurt (you have to admit he does deserved to get hit).
