The tucks don't have any friends because in some towns they are convicts, and suspected of witchcraft to some people. They also don't want anyone to find out their secret.
But can't the Tucks live forever? I mean nobody can drag the information out of them no matter what because they can live forever. And if anyone threatened them they can still reject on telling the truth.
Steven I agree with you, it's not like the Tucks are going to admit to anyone (other than Winnie) that they can live forever, so it confuses me why they don't try to meet new people instead of being alone so often. Maybe the reason is that they can't stand to get to meet people knowing that those people will eventually die while the Tucks will never have to deal with that issue...
i agree with mr janow. if they keep meeting new people and befriend them, they will keep having to deal (sadly) with them passing away and they could risk the mortals being mad at them for doing witchcraft or something
I think the Tucks can't make friends because if they get in touch with civilization their differences will be recognized

ReplyDeleteAnd if they stick around too long, people will start to get suspicious about their never-changing faces!!
